BioPure Benefits & Ingredients

Usage Guide

The majority of household cleaning products contain hazardous ingredients such chemical solvents and petroleum-based chemicals that release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the indoor environment.  The average American household has between 3 and 10 of these hazardous matters in their home. (Ref: Co-Op America, December 2007).

BioPure is a highly concentrated, all natural household cleaner containing powerful probiotic bacteria, antioxidants and enzymes that break down grease, grime and dirt and neutralize odors. BioPure enables cleaning without harmful chemicals, and is safe for your family, pets and the environment. Many cleaners contain antibacterial ingredients. Research now shows that killing ALL bacteria is not the best way to ensure your family and environment are protected from harmful bacteria. Optimal bacterial balance is necessary for the health and well-being of all living organisms. The balance of probiotic (good) bacteria must outweigh pathogenic (bad) bacteria for optimum health.

Some of the commonly used antibacterial ingredients used in many commercial cleaning products are harmful to our health. "The U. S. Geological Survey has shown that triclosan - which mimics the thyroid hormone and is commonly added to soaps, toothpaste, deodorant, dog shampoo, cutting boards, clothing, toys and other anti-bacterial products - is in 60 percent of U.S. waterways investigated." BioPure contains purified water, organic sugar cane molasses, lactobaccillus cultures, organic mineral powder, sea salt, organic rice bran, vanilla extract and nothing more.

Usage Guide:

BioPure is highly concentrated and should be diluted with water before use in the spray bottle sold with the concentrate. For best results, dilute 2 capfuls with 500ml of non-chlorinated water and use the dilution within 30 days.

TIP: if you don't have filtered water, boil some tap water and let it stand overnight to allow the chlorine to evaporate. You can then use this water to dilute your BioPure.

Questions & Answers about BioPure:

Question: Will BioPure kill staph and strep and ecoli and other bacteria like that?
Answer:
It is important to understand that BioPure does not behave as a chemical. It does not kill everything on the surface, leaving it sterile or open for re-population by bad bacteria. Instead, it uses living processes and the natural relationship among BioPure microorganisms to repair and support balanced ecology.

The sustainability of the BioPure relationship provides a truly healthy "clean". With the correct BioPure dilution or ratio applied to a surface or area, competition is introduced, and pathogens cannot survive to domination. Beneficial BioPure microbes will overpower them using the available resources to feed and reproduce rapidly, to support ongoing beneficial processes.

Question: How long should it be left on mould in groutings? Would it be more beneficial using straight on a toothbrush for really tough grout mould?
Answer:
It doesn't need to be left. Regular use is the key for the beneficial bacteria to dominate the pathogenic bacteria. When used consistently, BioPure prevents the re-emergence of pathogenic bacteria.

Question: How long to leave in toilet before cleaning?
Answer:
It doesn't need to be left. Regular use is the key for the beneficial bacteria to dominate the pathogenic bacteria. When used consistently, BioPure prevents the re-emergence of pathogenic bacteria.
.

Question: How do you clean floors with it?
Answer: Recommendation is a dilution of 1in 100. So for a 2 litre bucket of water, you would need 20mls.

Question: I have been spraying my sample of BioPure on everything I can think of, from our toothbrushes, to the toilet brush to my son's highchair, the cutting board, kitchen sponges, etc. Is there anything that it would not be safe to use it on? Answer: Those usages are all acceptable.

Question: How long should we wait after spraying on BioPure before wiping it off, and when we wipe it off should we use a dry cloth or a damp cloth?
Answer:
Generally you don't need to leave it on before wiping off. Except for use on cutting boards, when you let it stand for 15 minutes before rinsing. It is consistent use of BioPure that prevents the re-emergence of pathogenic bacteria.  A damp cloth is suitable to wipe it off.

Question: Is the BioPure food grade?
Answer:
BioPure is manufactured in a food-grade processing plant under food-grade standards, just like our skin care and cosmetics, however, it is not designed to be ingested.

Question: How long does the concentrate remain viable?
Answer: 24 months from date of manufacture.

Question: It smells so tasty I am wondering if the diluted spray is harmful if children get hold of it and drink it?
Answer:
No, it’s not harmful… but if consumed it will give you diarrhea.

Question: Is it bad if we spray something and don't wipe it off?
Answer:
No, it will do no harm if it is left on a surface. It may stain white and light coloured fabrics though.

Question: Are there circumstances where we should use a more concentrated dilution?
Answer: Yes, you can use more concentrated dilutions on baked on grease in ovens.

Question: How often should we use it to maximise the benefits?
Answer: As often as you clean. Daily is ideal.

Question: What kind of purified water does it need to be mixed with?
Answer:
As long as the chlorine is removed, it won’t kill the good bugs in the formula. This can be done by boiling tap water and leaving it to stand overnight.

Question: Is it ok to use a clear spray bottle?
Answer:
Yes, as long as it is stored away from direct sunlight and used up within 30 days.

Question: Can BioPure be used for stain removal?
Answer:
No, it can’t be used for stain removal.
