In addition, products and/or companies will be reviewed favorably demonstrating two or more of the following secondary criteria:
- Manufactured by ethical, socially conscious companies rather than mega conglomerates
- Biodegradable or recycleable packaging materials
- Independently owned or locally-based companies
- Personal relationship with company founder and/or manufacturer
- Company philosophy rooted in education, health, sustainable agriculture and economics
- Companies demonstrating Corporate Social Responsibilty(CSR) including social and environmental values-based missions
- Companies with fair trade, fair labor standards
- Companies utilizing energy reductions practices (carbon offsets, etc.) and other energy saving standards
